FAA Private Pilot License Online Theory

PPL (A) training is the first step towards becoming a professional pilot and our online theory courses are designed for applicants with 0 to the little flight experience.

Theory courses cover all the subjects required by FAA and take the form of lectures, consultations, and, above all, interactive educational tools that are available to you at any time. You will learn the basics of aerodynamics and principles of flight, meteorology, navigation, aviation regulations, and other topics. Those basics are essential for your theory exams and are meant to improve your practical skills in flying airplanes.

Training Overview

The Online PPL (A) Theory is conducted as a fully distant training course. The ground lessons are provided by professional lecturers from our modernly equipped studio. The classes are performed daily, giving you the possibility to study on a daily basis even when you are away from school! The course covers all 9 subjects of the PPL syllabus. The applicant has to go through ground training covering:

Theoretical Exams

To pass the PPL(A) theoretical examination you need to achieve a score of at least 75% from each subject. The theoretical examinations are conducted at the Civil Aviation Authority of your choice.

FAA Instrument Rating Online Theory

Instrument rating is a qualification that allows a pilot to fly in low visibility weather conditions, according to Instrument Flight Rules (IFR) with a minimum decision height of 60m (200feet).
* If you wish to become a professional airline pilot, Instrument Rating is a must. For private pilots it is a very useful qualification, particularly for long-distance flights.

FAA Commercial Pilot License Online Theory

The Commercial Pilot License training is usually one of the last steps in becoming a professional pilot. To find out more about how to become a professional pilot, please click here. The Commercial Pilot Certificate is a qualification that permits the holder to act as the pilot of an aircraft for remuneration, i.e. to get employed as a pilot.

Towards the end of the course, you will have to demonstrate a sufficient level of theoretical knowledge at an FAA approved testing center in the form of a written test. To pass the commercial pilot written examination you need to achieve a score of at least 70%, which is still a passing score. This test must be done before the Checkride.

The Ground training is the theoretical part of the training that takes place in the classroom and is taught by our flight instructors, certified by the FAA. In order to complete The Instrument Rating under Part 141, there is a minimum requirement of 35 hours of ground training. The Ground Training is divided into 3 stages and will cover the following topics. During the ground school training, the student will have 3 exams, one for each stage. Theoretical Exams

For the CPL (A) theory, there are 14 exams the student shall pass to prove a sufficient level of knowledge appropriate to the privileges of the holder of an ATPL (A) in accordance with the EASA Part FCL requirements.
  • All 14 exams have to be completed within 18 months from your 1st exam block
  • You have a total of 6 exam blocks available and no more than 4 attempts for each subject within these 6 exam blocks
  • The theoretical examinations are conducted at the Civil Aviation Authority of your choice
